Dr. Rose Lorenzo
Co-Founder/CEO Dr. Rose Lorenzo brings more than 39 years of entrepreneurial experience to Hackathon Jr., owning and operating several companies. Dr. Rose is the founder and CEO of i2O Entrepreneur and STEAM Academy, a charter high school focusing on entrepreneurship and STEAM education. Dr. Rose is also founder and CEO of Lorenzo Financial, working with small business owners to align their goals and develop strategies for sustainability, along with handling small business accounting, taxes, and corporate formations.
Dr. Rose has an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice Administration-Management from the University of Phoenix, a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership degree from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Rose is also currently getting her Juris Doctorate at California School of Law. She is the author of Get it Done The Journey to Entrepreneurship from Idea to Open, Thought Leader and Motivational Speaker. |
Neal Morados
Co-Founder/Director of Community Relations Neal Morados (eBay entrepreneur, Social Media Consultant, Motivator): Brings ten plus years of sales and marketing experience to Hackathon Jr. As an entrepreneur, he opened his own eBay business in 2012, where he has maintained steady growth for the past 5 years. He started sharing his journey on Facebook through weekly videos, giving his viewers insight into his successes and challenges. Currently, he is developing his insights gained from his videos into consulting for businesses on how to optimize their social media presence. He obtained his Bachelor's in Philosophy at Creighton University in 2005 and his MBA in Business Economics from Ashford University in 2016. Neal is currently pursuing a Doctoral of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Deby Ranft
Co-Founder/Director of Curriculum / Play Dr. Deby Ranft brings more than a decade of educational experience to Hackathon Jr. She has been teaching in Nevada since 2008 and has taught a wide array of classes at the elementary level as well as spearheaded teams for her schools. One thing Dr. Deby really strives to teach her students is to truly love learning! Dr. Deby loves to learn herself and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership Specializing in Educational Technology. At her school, Dr. Deby collaborates with others to find authentic ways to integrate technology across content areas and help both kids and teachers to really embrace STEAM education through the acquisition of 21st century skills. Dr. Deby also teaches as an Adjunct Professor for the College of Education with Grand Canyon University where she facilitates graduate courses for students. She also supports GCU teacher interns who are new to the field and collaborates with their mentors. Dr. Deby is passionate about serving the students who need it most with an explicit focus on communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking skills as her goal is to positively impact as many students and teachers as possible across the world.

Dr. Katie Perata
Co-Founder/Director of Curriculum / Play Dr. Katie Perata has always been passionate about educating the youth and started her journey at Arizona State University where she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Dr. Katie began teaching middle school students, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English Language Arts in Northern California. While teaching, Dr. Katie completed her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and earned my Administrative credential both from Saint Mary's College, California. After teaching middle school for six years, Dr. Katie accepted a principal position for a preschool-8th grade elementary school. Currently in the third year as a principal and continue to learn each and every day personally and professionally. Dr. Katie incredibly hard working and continue to inspire, motivate, and support students and teachers, thus, enrolled in a Doctorate Program in Educational Leadership. Dr. Katie’s’ ultimate goal is to positively impact education by advocating for students and teachers.
